Rachel studied at Bristol and Strathclyde Universities and trained at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, qualifying in 1992.
Since then Rachel has worked in various hospitals and clinics around the South West of England including the Royal United Hospital in Bath and Torbay Hospital in Devon.
She has worked at The Whiteley Clinic in Bristol since 2014 and loves her work! She has been involved in The Society for Vascular Technology (SVT) for a number of years, particularly in the areas of education and training. Rachel is a co-author of the SVT publication Vascular Laboratory Practice and has served as the society’s president in 1993 and 2006.
On a personal note – Rachel lives in Bath and is married to Simon with whom she has two grown-up children and one dog. In her spare time she enjoys reading, sailing, walking and attempting to make patchwork quilts.
