Left-arm veins removal at The Whiteley Clinic
Large, bulging veins of the arms are usually completely normal – especially if you are fit and have low body fat.
However, many people do not like their arm veins and want the more prominent ones to be removed.
Although it is not sensible to remove all of the arm veins, the more noticeable ones can be removed using the phlebectomy procedure.
At The Whiteley Clinic, we discuss with you which veins you want to get rid of. Then we perform a duplex ultrasound to check which are safe to remove and mark them on the skin.
Under local anaesthetic, the veins are removed using the phlebectomy method. Tiny incisions are made and closed with steri-strip plasters (no stitches needed).
Occasionally we recommend other treatments such as laser or foam sclerotherapy, depending on the size and extent of your veins.
