Surrey Research Park Seminar Series - 10th August with Prof Anthony Anson

After a successful start to the Surrey Research Park seminar series, we are pleased to introduce the speaker for the next event, Professor Anthony Anson

Professor Anthony Anson from Brunel University will be speaking at the next event on the 10th August. His presentation will be "The Electric Universe and the Biology Within it: Cardiovascular Disease, Orthopaedic Prostheses and Cancer New Treatment Modalities?"

Biography


Professor Anthony AnsonProfessor T.Anson, D.Eng, M.Tech. MIMMM. M.InstP trained as a mechanical engineer and had the benefit of diverse experience in several engineering and associated disciplines, gaining expertise at the engineering, materials, biology and physical science interfaces. This broad career approach coupled with a spirit of “inventiveness” has successfully exploited academic activities into the commercial world, leading to the formation of several start-up companies with biomedical engineering themes in the cardiovascular, biomaterials and orthopaedic arenas.

Continuing academic ventures in research and post graduate teaching activities are centred upon essential engineering techniques to address disease and trauma with a firm strategy of practical applications, supported by the use of appropriate scientific methodology.
