Tour de TWC - Cycling from Bristol to Guildford in 24 hours

On the 26th September Rachel and Amanda from The Whiteley Clinic in Bristol will be picking up their helmets and hitting the road, as they cycle 120 miles to help raise money for the Leg Ulcer Charity.

They will be cycling from our Bristol clinic to our head office in Guildford and they would love to raise £500 for the charity to help support their work.

For information and to find out how to donate please visit the Just Giving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/tour-de-twc

Thank you to everyone who donates!

About The Leg Ulcer Charity

Leg Ulcer Charity LogoThe Leg Ulcer Charity funds research into the causes and treatments for leg ulcers, as well as providing assistance to patients to help them understand their condition and to seek appropriate treatment. The charity focuses on:

  • Empowerment

  • Research

  • Professional education and development

  • Assistance to patients with leg ulcers

The charity helps to empower patients, their families and their carers to understand leg ulcers and to find a cure if possible. They also promote education for medical professionals caring for patients with leg ulcers, because unfortunately in the UK, only a minority of leg ulcer patients are even offered investigations or treatment with a view to a cure.

If patients with leg ulcers are properly investigated and treated, the majority should be permanently cured and if healthcare professionals are not going to offer this, patients need to be armed with the knowledge that the Leg Ulcer Charity provides.

Any donations or fundraising at all will help meet the aims of improving the treatment of ulcers in the UK.
