Mr Simon Middleton carried out his general surgical training in the South Thames (West) region. His sub-specialty training is in colorectal surgery and his Master of Surgery research was carried out during a two year period at the world-renowned St Mark’s Hospital, Harrow.
Simon is also a proud examiner at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and General Surgery representative to the Spire Dunedin Medical Advisory Committee. He is a highly experienced surgeon and strives to offer the highest possible standard of care in general and colorectal surgery.
His clinical interests are in the minimally invasive (pin-hole) treatment of bowel cancer as well as general surgical problems. He specialises in the treatment of anal and rectal disorders such as haemorrhoids, fissures, fistulas and abscesses and is highly experienced in diagnostic procedures including OGD, flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.
He has carried out 65 Rafaelo procedures so far and is in the top 3 in terms of numbers in the UK.
