Caterina Fissi

Caterina earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the prestigious University of Florence, Italy, in 2015. Following her graduation, Caterina relocated to the UK to pursue her dream of living in the English capital and achieving fluency in the language. She began her professional career working in the Acute Medical Unit, where she gained valuable experience.

Caterina’s journey then led her to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) and Intensive Care Unit of St. Bart’s Hospital. Here, she cared for haemodynamically unstable patients.

In May 2019, Caterina discovered the innovative work being conducted by Professor Whiteley and was inspired to join The Whiteley Clinic. Since then, she has flourished in her role as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and has embraced the crucial role of Infection Prevention Lead.

She consistently goes above and beyond to address the needs and concerns of patients, embodying the ethos of compassionate and patient-centric healthcare.

When Caterina is not at The Whiteley Clinic caring for patients and staff, she enjoys dogsitting, is a cat lover, and cherishes spending time with her boyfriend, friends, while indulging in delicious food and wine
