Jenna Derry

Jenna has always had a keen interest in science and graduated with a Biochemistry degree from Queen’s University Belfast in 2010. However, after having worked as a quality control analyst for two years Jenna wanted a more patient facing and hands on career. Therefore, she decided to embark on a career as a Diagnostic Radiographer and graduated from Kingston and St Georges University in 2017.

After a year and half of plain film and SPEC-CT imaging working in the NHS Jenna undertook a postgraduate qualification in abdominal, gynaecology, vascular and small parts ultrasound from Bristol University and has since never looked back.

After completing two years as a Sonographer in the NHS Jenna discovered the Whiteley clinic where she wanted to expand and develop her skills further in the venous industry. Jenna mentions “I felt there was no better place than the Whiteley Clinic who offer award winning and outstanding treatment with exceptional patient care. ”

Since starting in July 2021, Jenna has speicalised in diagnostic venous leg imaging and pelvic congestion screening.  Jenna was also our sonographer in theatre for the filming of Embarrassing Bodies in which raised awareness about the impact varicose veins and pelvic congestion syndrome can have on someone’s life.

In more recent times Jenna has become the first sonographer to carry out varicose vein treatment using Sonovein the first and only robotic solution for non-invasive echotherpay treatment of varicose veins.
