Prof. David Beckett is an interventional radiologist with a special interest in minimally invasive vascular procedures. Having trained at St Georges Medical School and qualifying in 2000, David went on to gain his radiology experience in hospitals in Birmingham and Sheffield.
He spent 2 years as an Endovascular Fellow at the Sheffield Vascular Institute before being appointed Consultant Interventional Radiologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in 2008.
David joined The Whiteley Clinic in early 2010, adopting the Whiteley Protocol® to treat his varicose vein patients. David has regular out-patient lists and local anesthetic lists where he is able to treat and advise on the full spectrum of venous disease.
David has extensive experience in Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and its treatment. He has lectured and taught these techniques both nationally and internationally and works within Whiteley Clinics to Provide World Class care to patients with Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. David performs regular Pelvic Vein Embolisation within the Whiteley Protocol.
A lover of many dangerous activities his passions include both kitesurfing and traveling.
