With the interest in our innovative procedures at The Whiteley Clinic, we have been asked why we spend so much time and effort in our research.
One of the big things about carrying out research is that it is the only way that we can ensure that our patients can get the very best and up to date treatments. If we perform that research ourselves we can be absolutely certain of the efficacy the different techniques and which ones are optimal for our patients.
Over the last few years, we have taken on two or three research fellows every summer and we have had PhD students through The University of Surrey. Putting that together with our own internal professionals within our clinic who do their own research and audits, as well as looking at research from other units, we can piece together what we call The Whiteley Protocol®. This is a pathway to ensure that all our patients get what is currently the best possible treatment.
