We recently treated a patient for both Varicose Veins and Pelvic Congestion Syndrome. Both procedures were a great success and she is very happy with the results.
Please read her kind words below.
“After suffering with lower back pain and pain radiating into my legs for years, I decided to address my varicose vein problem. I had been putting it off as I had had 2 lots of surgery previously and found the operation of stripping the veins to be painful. It all came to a head when late one evening I had terrible pains in my lower leg and went to Accident and Emergency to be told I had phlebitis.
I did some researching on the internet and together with having heard Professor Mark Whiteley speaking on Radio 2 about his clinic I decided to contact The Whiteley Clinic in London.
I had 4 procedures on my legs and then insisted on a pelvic scan as I had a lot of lower back pain and dragging sensations when standing for more than a few minutes.
Professor Whiteley confirmed that I had advanced Pelvic Congestion Syndrome and I was booked in for a pelvic vein embolisation which involved keyhole surgery through the neck and then inserting platinum coils into 3 of my pelvic veins.
I was very nervous about the whole procedure, but it all went well. The nursing staff and everyone at the clinic were so supportive and kind.
It has been 3 months since the surgery and I am feeling wonderful. I have started swimming again and I can now walk a lot further with no pain.
Thank you all at The Whiteley Clinic for giving me my life back.
The whole experience was positive with a great outcome and I would recommend The Whiteley Clinic to anyone thinking about addressing their varicose vein problems to go ahead and get them treated at this wonderful, professional clinic.”
