The Whiteley Clinic performed its first Rafaelo Procedure for the treatment of haemorrhoids, on 11th May 2017, at our world class clinic near Bond Street, London!
The procedure took only 20 minutes and the patient walked out saying they thought it was ‘very professional’ and they were ‘extremely satisfied’ with the procedure.
This is the start of a new range of treatments available at The Whiteley Clinic. We already specialise in the treatment of varicose veins on the body, pelvic varicose veins and other venous conditions but now, with the introduction of The Rafaelo Procedure, we can offer an effective haemorrhoid treatment, performed under local anaesthetic, with great long term results.
Haemorrhoids, also known as piles, are swellings that can occur inside and around the bottom. The lining of the area contains a network of small veins and when these become wider and are filled with more blood than usual, they form swellings. For some people these veins do not cause any problems, but for others they can be painful and cause a variety of symptoms, such as bleeding.
The Rafaelo Procedure is an exciting and revolutionary new medical procedure, which uses radio frequency ablation for the safe and effective treatment of haemorrhoids (piles). It can achieve the same outcomes as a Haemorrhoidectomy, which is what most patients have to undergo to see any improvement. However, The Rafaelo Procedure will transform the lives of many patients that currently have to undergo much more invasive procedures to treat their condition.
