The Whiteley Clinic Leg MOT service

Once you have had your leg veins treated using The Whiteley Protocol®, you have the lowest possible chance of getting any varicose veins or thread veins back again in the future. By using our The Whiteley Clinic trained specialist vascular technologists, who only scan veins with state of the art duplex ultrasound machines; we are able to target all of the veins causing venous problems in the legs. Using our proven techniques, the veins that we treat have the lowest possible chance of ever reopening.

However, even The Whiteley Protocol® cannot stop further deterioration of once normal veins becoming varicose veins or ‘hidden varicose veins’ due to failure of the valves associated with the passing of time and your genetic make-up.

Because we know that smaller varicose veins are easier to treat and by stopping a deteriorating vein early, we can prevent complications such as skin damage, thrombophlebitis and further development of thread veins of other varicose veins, many patients are now very keen to be kept under regular review to make sure that any future deterioration is treated as quickly and inexpensively as possible.

To achieve this, we have introduced the Leg MOT for patients previously treated at The Whiteley Clinic by The Whiteley Protocol®
