Leg Veins Assessment – do you have varicose veins?

by – October 25, 2015

Leg veins assessment can be performed at home using the The Whiteley Clinic self-assessment website.

The Whiteley Clinic has an international reputation for the diagnosis and treatment of varicose veins, spider veins (thread veins), leg ulcers and other vein problems.

On the The Whiteley Clinic website, there is a “self assessment” section (www.whiteleyclinics.co.uk/self-assessment/). Using this self-assessment section, patients can undergo leg veins assessment themselves at home.

There are two separate areas:

Leg veins assessment – classification and pictures

The leg veins assessment classification and pictures goes through the most commonly used classification for varicose veins and vein conditions. This is called the CEAP classification.

The CEAP classification is used by doctors to explain to other doctors or insurance companies how severe the varicose veins are. CEAP goes from clinical grade C0 (which is normal) to CEAP clinical grade C6 (which is a venous leg ulcer).

Whether you have thread veins, spider veins, varicose veins, red or brown stains around your ankles or even leg ulcers, you should be able to find pictures that will help you with your own leg veins assessment.

Leg veins assessment – screening questionnaire

If you would prefer a more interactive leg veins assessment process, you can use the The Whiteley Clinic varicose vein screening tool.
